arcSail is an advanced real-time race scoring software tailored for sailing clubs, designed to streamline the scoring process for both single and multi-day regattas, as well as manage several season-long series concurrently.

The software features an intuitive touch interface optimized for iPhone and iPad, with hand-crafted design elements that enhance user experience. Setting up events is facilitated by custom controls for time, numbers, and calendars, complemented by in-app tips to aid users in navigating the software efficiently. Additionally, sailors, boats, events, and fleets can be pre-configured or imported from registration data, ensuring a seamless experience on the water. Scorers can quickly finalize race outcomes by simply tapping on boats from various fleets to record finishes. Once races conclude, handicapping and penalty calculations are instantaneously performed, enabling results to be emailed directly from the app (available via in-app purchase on a data-capable device).

arcSail encompasses a comprehensive range of scoring features, including:

• Support for short and long series calculations using Low Point, Bonus Point, High Point Percentage, Low Point Average, or Chips3 systems.
• Scoring capabilities for uncorrected (one-design) fleets and handicapped (mixed) fleets utilizing Portsmouth Yardstick (PY), wind-strength corrected North American Portsmouth Yardstick (NAPY), Small Catamaran Handicap Rating System (SCHRS), PHRF Time-on-Time, and Time-on-Distance.
• Custom handicap systems can be defined to suit specific needs.
• Tracking starts and finishes for multiple simultaneous fleets.
• All calculations adhere to RRS & Appendix A guidelines.

With the option for in-app purchases:

• Results can be emailed or printed in HTML format for easy integration onto club websites or bulletin boards.
• Data backup is available to Apple Files and can also be exchanged between devices via email.
